My biggest mistake was not spending enough time working on one of my projects while I was going through my process. Well, I learned quickly that the "shortcuts" weren't worth it b/c the next week I had a new project, AND I had to re-do the old one. I actually have both of the times somewhere in my home where I can see them regularly. It keeps me humble and reminds me that the short way isn't always the best way.

Hmmm, I can think of at least two things that were done by potentials that really made me and other sorors

While going through her process, one potential tried to elicit donations from her classmates and even went so far as to ask her professor for money to pay her dues. A D9 sister from another sorority was pissed when she witnessed this and immediately informed the chapter which reacted like and Thank goodness that potential is NOT a soror.

On another occasion, some potentials showed up to a sorority event wearing that rhoyal blue and gold. I cannot stand this. If anything, I was scared to touch those colors until I became an actual member of SGRHO.

This is an interesting thread and I wonder when potentials, interest, or whatever we are calling them these days take a clue, use common sense, wise up and do their homework (research).
I haven't come across any potentials that are struggling to understand the full meaning of Greekdom but you folks have some stories that could help a potential avoid the drama.

And people wonder why I frequent this website. I'm simply starting early. Without some of the wonderful people up here on GC I would've probably done some REALLY "stoopid" and possibly detrimental stuff when I got to college.

Who are you telling!!!! I remember right after our induction, they told us to go 'head and do the call. All three of us stood there like deer in headlights!

Had she even been considered for membership yet? (i.e. gone to an informational/rush and been notified that she was being offered membership into the organization???)

When will prospects learn that D9 members communicate with each other?!

Exactly, I mean I think that prospects believe that we are in like this great competition with each other and don't look out for each other when that is far from the truth.
