<<I don't know, the girl who sold her wedding rings so she could stay in DC seemed a little weird to me. That in itself wasn't that weird, but the fact that she chose her karaoke machine over her wedding rings was. But selling the karaoke machine wouldn't have given her enough anyway I guess...
Does anyone know if AI pays for these people to go to Hollywood for the next leg of the competition? I always assumed that they didn't, because that would be a LOT of people to pay for. But if they don't, then how the heck is that woman going to be able to afford to go out there if she couldn't even afford to come to DC?>>
This girl lives in my neighborhood! I can't believe that she would do such a thing. I heard her husband and daughter were at the audition with her. But apparently she is going to Hollywood.

But what really got the look going for me was the Wal-Mart clip in the top of her head. And to think that she said you didn't need money to dress like you had money -- she is an inspiration to trailer-park women all over the world (oh, and PS to this - must say the fat roll hanging out the back was the best accessory).

I'm so glad you're back for season four! You're the only one that understands how I feel! LOL!!!

Always around for some good AI trashing
As for tonight - okay, I'm bored already. On with the competition. Albeit funny at times, I am tired of watching them ridicule people that are seriously not serious.
I am in total love with the farm girl. What a voice!
Sorry, but I didn't feel Angel one bit (although I totally appreciated her shout-out to Delta - really awesome to see active greek life in action). I thought her student did much better, and I was sad that he didn't make it. I will be buying his CD when it comes out.
And WTH is up with the he/she girl (I think) that came in rapping and sounding more like Alvin & the Chipmunks than any human should? And they sent HER through???!!! OMG -- I am really and truly at this whole thing. And dang if she didn't come out and say "Thank you God! This is BLEEP BLEEP the most BLEEP thing" -- Okay -- thank you God, and now for the cursing to start. PLEASE don't pull a Manomasia on me and end up being in the finals.

I switched back and forth between this and I Love the 90s. So I only caught a few.
Joe - hunny please... you make Ryan Seacrest look good with that orange skin of yours. Anyone notice how it kind of highlighted his teeth. (Boyfriend was nice enough to point that out.) And the attitude just KILLED it.
And I was DYING when that kid came out idolizing David Hassolhoff. And his "friend" wasn't much better. I honestly thought those two were gonna get a room or something. That was... um... scary.
But that's all I really saw.
And there there was:

I think I caught the end of this. Did her mom/someone continue the tirade saying she was going to sell lots of records, etc? I didn't hear her sing... I just got her end result... and I wondered why she had a yellow flyer in her hand...
Well since I can't find anyone so far that I like, I think I'm just going sit with AJ and AXO Alum and trash it. Good times.

I haven't really been impressed too much with this week. I have a feeling I'll be skipping the audition weeks and I'll tune in again when they get to Hollywood.
It's just...everything just seems so scripted now. There's no fun in that.

I'd rather see more of the good singers than the bad. It seems that the bad singers are just pretending to be bad so they can get on TV. The whole "but I thought I was good...my friends and family say I am...<whimper>" shtick has gotten really old. I was kinda bored by it last night.

Ditto!!!!
They all need to stop the "my friends say I'm good" because HELLO your friends aren't going to say you suck. Their going to either A) lie or B) sugarcoat. Ugh!!!!

OMG, I couldn't believe it either. She sounded like she was FIVE YEARS OLD!!!!! She was HORRIBLE!!!!!! I think the only reason they sent her through was because she came INTO the room rapping and doing "something different". She'll be dumped in Hollywood because unless she "gets a voice" she's gone. As for her mom, her mom is in a little world we like to call "FANTASY LAND".
Last night the only person I really liked was Jessica (the girl from the farm). She had a good voice, just needed to work on improving some things. In all honesty she was probably the best one who sang last night.
Too bad we don't know how the others they "passed through" sounded.

I agree. However, in theory, we will hear them when they arrive in Hollywood.

I agree with hottytoddy: that goth guy WAS weird... as were others.
I don't think anyone was that memorable. However the first dude that everyone loved, and then the cameras followed him to church later... I think the judges found their golden boy. I mean, they already named him "Randy's favorite." Who knows. I'll keep my tinfoil hat ready though.
They had another girl on there that wasn't too bad either. She was a nice metzo/alto. And she didn't scream her notes, which was refreshing. Her name was Lindsey and her outfit was cute.
There was a minister guy that auditioned. He had really pretty eyes... but nothing special in the voice department.
And there was a guy that was Crunk... I won't go any further than that because that's all you need to know. (But he didn't need 10 minutes of the show that's for sure.)
Seriously though... AI needs to stop sending Twins through. And if twins want to be seperated from each other, they need to not AUDITION together. I had no simpathy for the twins that didn't make it and were all pissed about it. If you get all high and mighty about how you are different and want to be individuals and you don't dress alike blah blah whiney cakes, then you need to break the umbilical cord and audition as INDIVIDUALS.
And the twins they let through weren't that fab either.
Viva Las Vegas tomorrow...
