so dont watch that video at work. that is so sad. i feel so much for her parents, and for her, too. shes doing so well and i can only hope she continues to do so. good luck and god bless to her and her family
Just recently, there was something on the Discovery channel (I think) about Treachers-Collins syndrome. One of the young ladies profiled was in medical school. Keep you eyes and ears open for it; I'm sure it'll be on again soon.

wow. i dont think that was appropriate. women could take the best care of themselves and still mother nature could plan differently. blaming women for birth defects such as this one is a horrible statement to make--- there are just too many variables.

But it is appropriate. I think what my Soror is saying is that the risks of complications rise as women age, so if you're planning to have children later in life, start preparing now. I know she knows that things can and do still happen to the healthiest of mothers through no fault of their own.
