Yes. Think about it this way, if I know I have NO chance of getting into Yale Medical school, so I'm gonna go somewhere else. I can still acheive my goals.

If you knew FOR CERTAIN that in order to become a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha you would HAVE TO spend an extra year in undergrad would you submit an application and stay in school that extra year or continue your studies/graduate on time and hope to be invited to a graduate chapter? Why or Why not?

No, how ridiculus would I look staying in college to join a sorority! I would graduate and then show my interest to the Graduate Chapter.

If your mother, for whatever reasons, forbade you to become a member of Alpha Kappa Alpha would you do it anyway (assume that her opinion CANNOT be changed)? Why or Why not?

I would join whatever group makes me happy regardless of what my mother wants. It's my life and a lifetime committment. Just because your mother married your grandfather doesn't mean that you would marry him too if he were your age.
