Okay, since this obviously is going to continue as an "evils of slavery" discussion, I want to add something to Veruca's comment. Honestly, I've only gone into the BGLO forums a few times so I don't know how these discussions are handled there. However, it seems that if I had brought this up in a BGLO forum, I would have received mainly African American answers and I was looking for a more varied response (not that I'm likely to get an answer now). Why do
