Hey again LAL -

I just wanted to reiterate what others have said. You really do need to keep an open mind and not base your decision on "reputations and stereotypes". For one thing everyone has a different view of each sorority - one person might think it's one of the best, another may have a different view. The things that make a sorority "good" for one person may not be the same things that would make it "good" for you.

Going into rush my daughter said she was keeping an open mind, but in her heart of hearts I know she had 3 sororities that she really wanted and that others had told her they could see her in. Its ironic that you used the "tri-delts are all blonde" example because she had heard something similar and had virtually ruled out Tri-Delt in her mind before rush had even started. Once she visited every house though, her perceptions changed completely. In fact, of her top 3 going in she cut 2 of them after the first and second round. When it came time to pick her top 3 for Pref night only one of them was one that she had initially wanted, and it was her second choice in the end. Luckily for her, she did keep an open mind and ended up right where she was meant to be...as a happy Tri-Delt...completely at home as a beautiful brunette in the sea of blondes.
