The most exciting thing for me was landing my current job. I was very proud about how I attained it. I went online(washingtonjobs.com) and applied for this position with a major bank. I heard back from them and then interviewed a week later with two people. I did really well with both HR people however I had no direct banking experience. So, I took specific skills that I had done in other jobs to demonstrate my ability. A week later I got the job and was so excited. Its been three months and I'm doing really well there. I've never done a finance job, only took one finance related course, but its really cool that I took on something totally new and I'm excelling. Of course this is all the beginning and we'll see where it leads.
My mom told me that my grandfather(her father) was the president of my company at one time. I sort of find it hard to believe and I havent seen any references proving. But I guess you never know
I think it would be really cool if we all did a lunch or happy hour. At least if everyone was up for the idea. I work in Tysons Corner myself pretty close to the mall.
