My college pad is a work in progress: My friend(also an AXO) and I are renting a house and we move in Aug 10 - just two days after I return from my trip to Phoenix/LA.
I am so pyched about this house - because it has so much character. It has fruit trees outside and a flower bed in the front as well as a vegetable garden - a grad student previously rented the house for the last three years. It has a giant backyard with a fire pit for roasting marshmellows, parties, ect.
You walk in to a large living room with hardwood floors and sculpted ceilings and a window thats almost the length and heights of one wall. Off the living room is a hallway and on the left is a little room - could be a bedroom but we are making it a computer room/study. The door is sliding so thats kind of neat.
Then on the right is a huge bedroom, with an awesome ceiling and cool carpet. Then we have our kitchen - rather cozy and then our bathroom and laundry room, We also have stairways that lead you up to the second floor - which my roomie has clained most of. It is absolutely darling - three little rooms all connected together - each room is just large enough for a bed and dresser and it also has adorable windows.
Other awesome extras - our backyard comes up to the back of 2 of my sisters one bedroom apt in an apt complex with a swimming pool and my house is two blocks from the Mall - this could prove to do more harm than good if I am in one of those moods where I want a new outfit before I go out.
Right know as I type, our house is being painted and cleaned and prepped for our move in - I'll have to keep you posted.
