No real hazing rumors, but there were three big non-hazing-related rumors and misconceptions:
- About my local - that it was made up of women who couldn't get into a "real" (read: NPC or NPHC) sorority
- You had to be Jewish to join (the local's founders were Jewish, but the first pledge class had a non-Jewish woman, and my chapter has lots of non-Jewish sisters today)
- We were really a "little sister" org for AEPi. (AEPi was very good to us, and some of my sisters dated AEPi's, but AEPhi is definitely not a little sister org - for one thing, on the national level, we were founded first!)
