Hey Everyone!! You guys are soooo amazingly nice, and I am hoping that all of your well wishes and vibes are going to pay off! They certainly have made my recruitment experience all that much better!
Before I get to the final rundown (and revealing of who I preffed!!!) I would like to respond the the lovely mmcat:

Oh my goodness, I was rolling on the floor laughing to this. Fortunately, no self-respecting local (or in my case, wannabe local) would ever let her junk be seen at parades. I earned my beads the old-fashioned way: yelling at the top of my lungs. Ahhh, tonight was so much fun, and if you all havent been here this time of the year, I would definitely reccomend it.
Anyway, this afternoon was beautiful. I went to Slater and then to Jessie, which is funny because I went to Jessie after Slater every single time.
Slater was absolutely beautiful. Their decorations were beautiful and all of the girls looked so pretty in their black dresses. It started to rain right as we left the meeting area, but one of my supportive guy friends called asking if I had an umbrella, which he then ran over to me...awww. Anyway, I ended up getting to Slater after girls had already entered the house, so the order was all messed up. Anyway, I was preffed by one of my good friends, which was really nice. The girls had made little pref books for everyone, and mine was written by all of my girlfriends that I love and miss so much. Unfortunately, I didnt have time to read it all, and I was assured that if I was there tomorrow it would be given to me as a keepsake. I had nice, comfortable conversation with her, and it wasnt really about the organization (I think I already know a lot more about them than I should as a PNM, just from osmosis) The girls sang a beautiful song and the ceremony was really nice, but my heart just wasnt in it. Even so, if tomorrow my bid says Slater, I will be ecstatic.
Jessie again blew me away. I was preffed by three girls (actually the three girls I talked to yesterday) and they did such an amazing job of making me feel so loved and welcome. TravelGirl especially told me so many nice things and even said that she loves me. My favorite thing that she said went like this:
"You know, everyone always said that at some point in my sorority career I would meet a girl in rush that I absolutely click with and really want as my sister. Well, you are that girl"
I wanted to cry!! I was so flabergasted that I could hardly speak, let alone make coherent sentences, but hopefully that wont be a big deal. All of the girls talking to me said that I am "So Jessie" Which made me really happy. The ceremony was beautiful as was the singing (they sounded like Angels, sheesh!) Then, at the end, a girl that was in one of my classes last semester that I really never spoke with said "I am really sad that I didnt get to know you earlier, but hopefully that will change. I really hope I see you tomorrow" It was sooooo nice.
Anyway, you already know how I ordered it, so I guess now it is time for the great reveal:
Slater = Theta
and
Jessie = Chi Omega!!!
