Welcome to GC! Anyway, when I first read the idea I thought it was totally cute until I saw the reason why some girls don't like it. You have 2 questions to ask yourself here:

1- Do you want the kind of girls who are going to care about the theme being like that? There's no wrong answer here. I don't know what your chapter is like, and clearly girls in your sorority already don't love it. Or do they just not like it because they're worried about what others will think? Either way, there's no way to make everyone happy at all times.

2- Going along with the last question, what kind of girls are you trying to recruit? If you wan fun, carefree girls who know that a shirt with a catchy saying may not be the biggest and best fashion statement ever, but that it's totally fun, then go for it. If you want a more polished, clean-cut image perhaps reconsider.

Whatever you choose, the idea IS cute. Spring recruitment (if it's informal like my school's) is where you can really let your chapter's personality shine and do what suits you all best. I mean why try and recruit girls that wouldn't mesh well with you? Just stay true to what you all like and go with it. Because regardless of what you have on, your personalities are what's going to sell the girls on KD anyway.

Sorry that was so long-winded. Good luck though!!
