Dick Clark hosted a party we had at the Western Cable Show a few years ago when I was in charge of production for TCI. The Pointer Sisters and Little Richard were the entertainment.
I directed the video re-enforcement (Big Screens -- 8 camera coverage -- which is a lot).
When I met him before the show, he was perhaps the most professional talent I've ever worked with. Total cooperation and not a hint of ego. His attitude was, "just tell me what you need me to do."
I also met his wife, of over 40 years, Carrie who was also a delight.
I certainly wish him all the best.
