That NEVER happens...non-passengers are not allowed past security without a boarding pass!
Same with people greeting people RIGHT at the gate as they're deplaning....you have to meet people at the luggage carousel thingy or in the chute where the passengers walk out of...you can't just walk up to the gate and go "hi!"
Actually, at some airports they still allow you to meet people at the gate..Just an FYI
