Our last National Songleader did a fantastic job of creating a new CD, with the songs re-written to drop them down to present-day singable levels. There's also a songbook to go with it. Just contact HQ ((317) 872-3500 -- ask for Amy Reinhardt) and they'll ship it off to you!! (Do be sure your chapter's ready and able to pay for it -- although it can't be that much!)

has anyone heard a song that says something about azds - in a boat- and drinking? lol - some guy i know says all the azds at utk used to sing it all the time - just wondering if anyone knew the lyrics

That's one we use. And for recruitment this year, one of our sisters found a remix of Nelly's "Ride Wit Me" on the internet about the Alpha Xi's. I think you can still get it at http://www.dj$crilla.net. It's a pretty good song, and there are some other good sorority songs on there for other sororities, so tell your friends!

We did one for rush...to the tune of "Jeremiah Was a Bullfrog" (by 3 Dog Night). I really liked it, but it could get annoying:

Jooooooooooooooy to the world
Alllllllllllllll the boys and girls
Joy to the Rushees of AZD
Joy to my sisters and me
da da da da da da da

Jooooooooy to the world....
etc.

We would usually do that three or four times, then move on to the next song.

We also did Green Day's "Time of Your Life" but replaced a few words. I'm not sure if I can remember all of it:

So make the best of this test and don't ask why
It's not a question but a lesson learned in time

The sisters of the Iota Zeta chapter are also desperate for chants and songs. In fact, we have formal recruitment at the beginning of the spring semester and don't even have our entrance and exit songs chosen. Please help! Email me anything that you think we could use as we have next to nothing right now.

thanks so much for the AWESOME chants! My chapter desperately needed some new ones. i'll post mine up when i find the words to them. we do some really cute ones that i never remember the words to.

Our chapter's songs and chants are also very out dated im afraid. So if anyone has any more idea other than what is posted up here, let me know! It would be so fun to learn new stuff and teach it to the chapter.

p.s.- i love the oscar mayer weiner song one!
