Sigmagrrl, what a
GREAT, GREAT post.
OK, well I'm skinny, too, but not really skinny that others ask me if I'm anorexic, etc. I'm 5"3' and 106 pounds. Ppl just tell me, "Gosh, I wish I looked like you" or "Damn how come you eat so much but you're so thin"?
Thing is, I wish I had more pounds on me. I like being thin, I'll admit, b/c I can eat anything I want without worrying. But sometimes it gets annoying when ppl keep on saying "Man you're so skinny - how do you do it?". I don't do it - geez, I was just born with a fast metabolism!
On the other hand, I have a friend who is 4"11' and 80 pounds. Ppl always ask her how old she is, always assuming she is either 10 years old or 12 years old - NEWS FLASH: she is 17!!!!! She always gets asked about her health and about anorexia/bulimia, etc. Luckily, it doesn't seem to get to her, but sometimes she tells me how annyoing some ppl can be.
You guys, I find lifting weights for the arms REALLy help. Also, I just started going to the YMCA, where I do everything from swimming to aerobics to tai chi. It's doing wonders for me! I feel realy strong and also - I think I'm starting to put on some pounds of muscle

!
