Perhaps the National Advisor did talk with this girl, or sent her a (nasty/conduct unbecoming/warning) Letter, that you might not be aware of. There are many links in the chain of comand, sometimes they work slow and under the radar.

Did you tell the National advisor this girl was up for Pres.? Did you tell the National (in a calm way) that you were hurt and felt betrayed? And that you wanted to be informed about some kind of resolution?

Hushing it up, the issue of an outsider knowing ritual, the issue might go away. (If the boyfriend knows his girl got kicked out for something he knows.. he might tell every one).

You want to be the better person! This issue could raise it's ugly head and bite you!

Let the National person take the ball and run with it. You may never know the outcome.
