Depending on where you go to school there's a very big difference. Where I go to school, there's pretty much nothing around, and the only way to get anywhere is to drive. As soon as kids are allowed to have cars on campus, they bring them up. It's hard to find a job on campus or across the street, so in order to have a job while at college, people pretty much need cars here.
