This is exactly correct - there is obviously little to no support for 'tearing' the thinner tissue between the anus and vagina . . . it's the same tissue no matter what direction you're going, that should be pretty obvious.
However, some long-time purveyors of anal sex (porn stars, not-so-careful gay men, etc), can show weakening of the tissue at certain points - I don't want to get too graphic (or resort to 'poopsock') but needless to say, it takes either extreme trauma or a considerable amount of time. Don't even ask.
