Childish and insulting titles or posts are, however, more likely to be treated as reflecting childish and insulting thoughts. If one wants to be taken seriously, one should avoid insults or childishness.
Intelligent, informed people of goodwill can differ on
(a) who would be the better president for our country at this time,
(b) whether the war in Iraq was justified or not,
(c) whether the war in Iraq is helping or hurting the war on terrorism,
(d) whether Bush or Kerry would do better with the economy, or
(e) insert whatever other issue you want to.
Who's right? We'll probably have to wait for history to tell us. In the meantime, I might disagree with those who voted differently from me, but I don't assume that they are less intelligent, less informed or less patriotic than I am just because they came to a different conclusion than I did.
Unless, of course, they do something that makes me wonder whether they've really put some thought into it or have just jumped on whatever bus suits them. "Real Greeks Vote Bush"? That gets about as much credence from me as "Real Americans Vote Kerry," "Real Christians Vote Buchanan," or "Only Idiots Vote Clinton/Nader/Bednarik/whoever."

THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!!! I LIKE YOU!!
I'm already sick and tired of this stupid ass bickering. The election is over. Bush won, so I think that the country should support him, just as JOHN KERRY said. You may not agree with some of his policies, but he is our president, and I think he deserves our respect.
Also, if you didn't vote, you have no right to complain about the outcome, just my personal opinion.
Oh, and I too think this thread should DIE!!!!

should probably vote for Bush and any other tax lowering candidate in federal elections.
Republicans and some fiscally conservative democrats are pursuing a tax statute that would help greeks. Currently, if you gave money to your house corporation, you would not get a tax deduction. Donations for house improvements are not excludable under the IRS code.
This new proposal would allow donations for greek house improvements to be tax deductible, which would help out the greek community tremendously. It would increase alumni involvement.
This proposal made it through the house, but not in time to get it
through the Senate. The house will have to start over with the new class of representatives in January.
A Kerry regime would not approve of such a proposal because they want the taxes to pay for their social programs. And who gives to fraternities? So called "rich" people. Those who care about the greek community.

Willy you're a jackass. All Kerry could do would be veto it, and that would be overridden by the GOP controlled house and senate. Go get a blowjob and STFU.

Hey moron, do you know what it takes for a tax bill to be overridden after a veto? It's not a majority just to let you know.

He makes a point about the tax policy. You could also argue that a Democrat administration would pull for more federal regulation of public schools and could in some way harm greek life. I'm not sure why you would disregard a pretty good argument if you are in favor of greek life.
