She threw on her robe, and tiptoed down the back stairs. Noticing that the alarm hadn't been set yet, Cassie propped open the back door, bolted outside to retrieve the flowers, and noticed that there was an envelope - a heavy envelope! - with them! She ran back inside and up the stairs, forgetting for the moment that she'd need a vase for the roses. Cradling the flowers as she inhaled the heady scent, she carefully tore open the envelope...
