I wonder where they are building it.....or if they're even building a new club or taking over an old one and giving it a makeover and slapping Paris's name on it. You'd think if they're going for the tourist people they'd make it more towards/around the disney area or I-drive rather than Downtown O-town.

The one in Orlando is going in the old Church Street Station Exchange - they're going to use the "Orchid Room" and some of the other areas with the beautiful stained glass. I've had friends get married, have wedding showers, etc. there - the rooms are beautiful, wood everywhere, the sunlight shines through the stained glass, it's just stunning.

I swear, if they come in and rip out that stained glass to put in a bunch of neon lights...grrrr. No respect for what should be listed as a historic bldg. (Ok i'll admit Church St. Station is barely 30 yrs old but for O-town, that's as historic as we usually get!)

The papers have had articles about Paris - apparently she's contractually obligated to show up here twice a month. Goody.

Like Cash said, if they're looking to target the tourists then Downtown Orlando is not the place to put the club. Tourists usually stay in the I-Drive and Disney area. It's the locals (especially the college students) that hang out in the Downtown area.
I'm interested to see if this club does well. Church Street itself is more of a bar-type area (unless you count Antigua as a club). The club area is a few blocks down.
I still miss Church Street from the days when Howl at the Moon and Jungle Jim's was there.
