A friend of mine (who knows so much about music I'm surprised he hasn't written a book) told me that the album was a disappointment, especiallyl Mos Def's comment in one song about hip-hop being ruined by 'quasihomosexuals'. He also said Def should stick to rapping, not singing, but he does a combination of that in my favorite song of his, "Umi Says".
