Hic!

Have someone hold their hands tight over your ears while you drink a glass of water. It sounds stupid and looks stupider but always works!!

this always works for me: try to hiccup. I guess it's something mental, but when i try to do it i can't, and they go away. anyway-

Drink a cup of water while keeping a pencil clenched between your jaws. Really.

Hi DGPhoney!!!

The only thing that works for me: hold your breath, until you feel that the hiccup has "passed." For me, I only have to hold it for like a few seconds (when you feel that the hiccup is coming on), and then no more hiccups!! Try it...it's so easy, you don't need anything extra (like a person to hold your ears, or a pencil, etc.)!

I'm sure your hiccups are already gone by now , but this is for future reference !
