Should this woman be punished for making up a story?

I guess the Son of Sam Law doesn't apply here. That law says that criminals cannot profit from their crimes by doing something like writing a book and making money. That money goes to the victims. In my opinion she shouldn't make a dime from a book telling her story since her story ruined this man's life.
