Depends on what school you're rushing at... for example my school is VERY casual... the first day people wear jeans, cute jeans with good tops and dressier shoes.. but jeans none the less... but at UCLA or USC they tend to be a bit more dressy.. but a bit more trendy and less "classic" than some more traditional southern schools... I don't think one person probably wears ann taylor to rush at my shool for example... CA schools run the gammet when it comes to rush.. very informal to competitive so you really have to be aware of your school's atmosphere and greek system. They will most likely give you guidance and suggestions.

being over a size 6 doesn't constitute "plus" size. If you truly are "plus sized" I recommend Lane Bryant for classy, well made.. (not the cheapest, but not horrible prices) clothing. My best friend shops there and finds things that fit nicely... I'm not sure if they are in every mall across America.. but I know most stores here in CA have them and they are owned by the Limited Corp.

No matter what size you are make sure you're not just wearing it because you think it's what the sisters want to see you in or becuase it's "trendy". Wear what reflects your style and make sure you are comfortable in it and aren't going to be tugging/fluffing/hurting etc.. during parties or you will be miserable, your attitude will most likely reflect that and you'll have a bad rush.
