I thought that that franchise did not exist... I don't think it exists down here, unless that one in BR still exists.

2D, are you talking about DD? If so, there is one in Metairie, on St. Charles, and on Carondolet (about a block from Canal St.) That's all I know of....

See...ya'll talking about food like that has made me hungry...and remembering da 4th. Lawd, Jesus, I feel like shoutin'; it was soooooo good...
Da menu consisted of half a hog (which had been roastin for about 12 hours), beef ribs, Boston butts (it was 6, I think), pork chops, leg quarters, chicken wings, all served with mild or hot azz h*ll BBQ sauce.
Then we had candied yams (sweet potatoes), mac and cheese (wouldn't be a BBQ without it), collard greens, turnip greens, potato salad, fried corn, grilled corn, macaroni salad, potato salad, and fried squash
For dessert we had punchbowl cake, homemade vanilla ice cream (da kind ya make in a churn), fried pies, banana puddin', German chocolate cake, and red velvet cake
*thinking* lawd Jesus....let MuhDea (MotherDear aka Grandmother) call me so I can get into the kitchen and be her taste tester..... COME ON THANKSGIVING!!!!!!!!
