Um, if they are destroying property,
they are disturbing the peace, duh. So yes it will be up to the cops to restore peace. Or should they just walk past a protestor who throws a trash can at the nearest store?
Point blank, they need to be prepared for the worse and a riot erupting is possible. Hopefully, the protestors can make their point AND be peaceful at the same time.
