What's Wrong with me

I don't know what's wrong with me or if it is me but whenever I go to the bar I feel so invisible. It's like no one talks to me or if I am with one of sisters I am just ignored.

I don't know I don't feel as like am unapproachable. I am always nice to people. It just feels as though I am not very pretty because the guys just ignore me. I have been working on my self-esteem but some how it just seems to move backwards everytime I go out to the bar.

In the past I used to have so much fun and guys use to approach me but now they do not.

I just feel so invisible. Is there anything I can do or am I just left to feel this way?

I'm so sorry you feel this way. I get like that every now and then, feeling invisible to everyone. However, I am starting to realize that my friendliness doesn't always appear friendly to others. For example, I used to take my negative attitude with me everywhere I went. This makes you seem like a really negative person, and people, especially guys, don't want to hang out with a negative person. People want to be around happy people who enjoy others' company. I am not saying you are negative~ I am just sharing my personal experience. It took me a long time to notice how I was, but now that I know, I try to work on how I act. Deep down, I know you have the self-esteem and happiness...we all do. You just have to reach inside yourself and let it shine through. Perhaps keeping a journal every night will help you overcome your problem. That way, you can look back a week later and realize your unhappiness, etc. Start thinking about situations you are in and wonder what conversation went on between people. I don't know what will help you directly, but those things have helped me come a long way with my friendships and personal confidence.

I hope you can work yourself through this and realize that you are an approachable person. We're all here if you need us.

PSLAM,

Jadey

Nothing's wrong with you!
The same thing happens to me all the time. Certainly don't judge yourself on how ppl at the bar treat you!

Maybe you just need to find a new place to hang out Especially if it does affect your self-esteem.

I know it sucks, but just remember it's nothing you're doing. What happens when you take the first step and start a convo?

I'm sorry I really don't have much advice since I go through the same thing!

Hi. I often am very quiet and I am not as loud and outgoing as many of my friends. A lot of this is because I am taking everything in and listening to everyone. However, I've learned that if I approach people and talk to them, they are just as friendly back. Once in awhile you will always approach people who are not the same in return but hey, if they are like that to you, why would you care to talk to them anyways?

I am feeling a lot better. I have been working on my self esteem. I also have to realize that I am a shy girl who is working on being a little more outgoing.

I have been trying to meet more people and go to different places where I do feel more comfortable.

Thanks to all who replied.
