Bid Day Update
So.....SeminoleDaughter had prefs last night at the Sausalito, Oreo and Vanilla Cremes. She loved all of them and was really torn when it came time to rank them but stuck with her original ranking of 1)Sausalitos 2)Oreos 3) Vanilla Cremes.

I had to take her car up to her yesterday and decided to stay the night and leave when she went to the Bid Day celebration but she let me stay and I actually got to see the whole thing! After the whole group met for an hour they split up into their recruitment groups and their recruitment counselors gave them their bid day shirts. All the sororities were waiting in groups in a courtyard and when the girls got their shirts they ran to their groups. I actually got to see her come runnning out and go straight to.....the Sausalitos!!!!! (Otherwise known as.....Delta Delta Delta!)

I'm sooooo happy for her and she is absolutely thrilled. Y'all were right - she really did end up where she was meant to be!

I can't wait to get my "Proud to be a Tri Delt Mom" mug!

Congratulations!!! One of my best friends is an recruitment adviser for FSU's Tri-Delta chapter. I know she is thrilled with the chapter.

I forgot about that part! I think I should only give the real names of her top 5 since I mentioned a rush violation involving one her top 9. So here's the real names for her top five:

Oreos = Kappa Delta
Vanilla Cremes = Pi Beta Phi
Nutter Butters = Zeta Tau Alpha
Sugars = Chi Omega

I hate to even call them her top five because really she loved all the groups she met. I really hope she's able to get to know all the girls she met in all the houses over the next four years.

Yay for SeminoleDaughter!!! I'm all teary-eyed and I'm not even a Tri-Delt. I'm sure they are very lucky to have her and she is fortunate to have found a home with the Sausalitos.

Jen - Thanks for enthusiasm - I've been teary eyed all week! Her cousin was also going through recruitment at FSU and she was thrilled to accept a bid from AXO! I was actually standing near their group while I waS waiting for my daughter and there were a lot of happy new AXOs!

Manda - Of course my unbiased opinion is that my daughter is extraordinary and all the houses would have been lucky to have her ...but I must say that reading all the posts on GC gave her a distinct advantage going in. She felt really prepared and much more confident than she would have had she gone in "blind".

I'm sure if you soak in as much as you can from these boards you'll have an awesome rush as well! I can't wait to hear all about it!
