I've always heard that if you ever get attacked, start barking. I know it sound silly, but if the attacker thinks you are a pure looney toon, then maybe he'll run far far away. Also, you can stick one key between each finger and use them to gouge. If you need help, don't yell help - no one will come. Yell, FIRE! because then people will come. Mace or pepper spray isn't a bad idea, but I've heard of people actually spraying themeselves, and that wouldn't be any good!
