Yay for Beta Zeta! That chapter is one that is so close to my heart. I love to hear all of the wonderful things they are accomplishing (thanks in no small part to Kari's wonderful leadership and mentoring!!!).

Fleur de Lis: Beta Chi/Kentucky took quota of 52 wonderful women! Woo woo!!

Congratulations to Beta Zeta and Beta Chi! I can't wait to hear about UF and FSU. UF's bid day is today, and FSU's is on Saturday. This is all so exciting!!! Best of luck ladies!

Fleur-de-lis (inspired by ISUKappa and imsohappythatiama!): Theta chapter also made quota with 63 wonderful new members!! (And a big fleur-de-lis for panhellenic recruitment at Mizzou in general... all 13 chapters made quota for the first time in at least nine years... but they're also "hypothesizing" that it may have been the first time ever!)

Broken key: The internet at our chapter house doesn't work! Boo!

Good morning all!!!

Fleur-de-lis: My 11 year old son has been invited to travel with People to People to England and France during summer 2006 as a student ambassador.

Broken key: My allergies are killing me!!! (I don't turn red, no runny nose, but my eyes . . . oh they are so runny & swollen!)

Broken Key: My computer was down for about 4 days. I was going to have to have a technician come in and check it because my provider had done everything on their end and the problem seemed to be with my computer.

Fleur-de-lis: My younger son is taking Information Technologies at school. They made Ethernet cables, so he tried one of the ones he made on my computer. It worked!!!

Broken Key: It is snowing and nasty here in Massachusetts!

Fleur-de-lis: I was sent pictures of the redone Kappa house at FSU, and it's super nice! It brought some sunshine into my snowy day! I'll post some of the pics here someday...

Fleur-de-lis: I reached my 10% goal (plus some!!!) at Weight Watchers.

Broken Key: Not much of one, but we decided not to decorate for Christmas because we are getting the inside of our house painted. It was sad not to have a tree, so I bought a tiny artificial one that is sitting on my coffee table.

Yay for your boy!!!

Broken Key: We are completing tax forms early this year and the FAFSA forms for the kid going to college

Fleur de lis: We make TOO much $ to qualify for financial aid . I guess the gov't considers us rich.

In my chapter (again, back in the days of the dinosaurs) the fleur-de-lis award was akin to the "Spaz Award" ie somebody who had done something foolish during the past week.

We're in the middle of all the FAFSA applications, too. We haven't completed the tax info yet, so I don't know what our status is.

Where is he applying? My kid applied to 2 state schools and 5 privates. Total costs (Tuition,r,b, etc) at these schools run to the tune of $48K per year .

I think this is a waste of time and we won't be getting a dime.
