Fleur-de-lis: My application for the language summer program I'm applying to has finally gotten all the pieces together and is all ready to be mailed out!

Broken Key: I don't have postage and it's 2am so I have to wait until tomorrow to go and get postage on the big packed envelope...

Because it's Friday, I have two fleur-de-lis and no broken keys!

Fleur-de-lis: I am finished with my advising duties for the semester! (love the chapter, but it's soooo nice to get a break!)

Fleur-de-lis: To show me their appreciation, the girls in the chapter sent me a beautiful flower arrangement yesterday! I was so touched!

fleur-de-lis: threw an amazing dinner party for some friends last night...tried a couple new dishes and they turned out so well!

boken key: i have a knee injury and it might cut down on my running....

fleur-de-lis: That application I mentioned in my last post--- I received the reply back from them, and I'm accepted! Which means this summer from June 10th-August 12th, I will be attending the Japanese Language School at Middlebury College in Vermont.

broken key: I'll only be allowed to speak, read, write, listen to, etc ONLY Japanese and no other language, it will be really hard going 9 weeks with no contact w/ my non-japanese speaking friends.... and fiance! though we're probably going to have my room mate translate letters I write to him so we can still stay in touch

9 weeks? That's miserable. BUT you will have such an AMAZING experience! And think how much growing you two will do as a couple. Oh you're just going to have a great time. That's so cool. I'm so stoked for you!

Yeah it's like a big honor a big "EEP! I'm going to die from lack of English / missing my daily Joel conversations"

it will all be worth it in the end and I'll be much more fluent when all is said and done though!

Broken Key I will be losing half my Advisory Board after this semester and we're not having any luck at all recruiting new people in.

Fleur-de-lis We just found out we're getting a CC, which will be GREAT for the chapter!

Fleur-de-lis We had a fabulous Rho Province Meeting, in Newport, with help from Rhode Island Alumnae Assocation. (They rock!) Our attendance was record-breaking, and everyone had a fantastic weekend with excellent workshops and amazing Fraternity VIP visitors.

Broken Key The work project from hell that I didn't finish before I left for Newport was still there when I got back to the office.

bigger broken key: my grandma passed away last night and I can't get home to see the family....

Broken Keys: (1) One of my cousins passed away last week from cancer. (2) I sprained the MCL in my left knee.

Shima-Mizu and MSKKG I'm so sorry for your losses.

broken key I still haven't found anyone to step up and volunteer for the chapter's HB and without a full HB, we can't start fundraising for a sprinkler system.

fleur-de-lis BUT I did have four fabulous women step up and volunteer to be on the AB!!
fleur-de-lis part deux AND I had a wonderful time at the Zeta province last weekend.
