No...
Pike's house at FSU is the largest in the nation with 40,000 square feet under one roof.
The Lambda Chis and Phi Delts both have beautiful and impressive homes, but the Lambda Chis have two singular houses separated by a courtyard, and the Phi Delts have three unconnected houses on one lot. The same architect designed all three: Pike, Lambda Chi and Phi Delt. I can't say who has the most total square feet, but the Pike house is a single building.
Whether Phi Delt is best, though, is a matter to be settled on the field of honor...

Wow! These chapter houses are huge! I can only image the number of new members every year or even the total number of active sisters! Yikes! I'd love to swing by the campus of UW to see their row of houses!

i've alway heard (and it could be very wrong) that the Ole Miss Tri Delt house was the biggest sorority house in the SEC and the 3rd biggest in the nation, and from the inside it looks huge but like i said that could be wrong

Beta Theta Pi has a new house under construction at the University of Missouri. According to an article in today's Columbia Tribune, the new house will be 41,000 square feet, which makes it larger than the Pi Kappa Alpha house at Florida State.

No, if you'll go to the Beta website and see the construction photos, it's clear that they'll have two separate buildings. The Pike house at FSU will remain the largest in the nation with 40,000 square feet under one roof. But it does sound like the Betas are building a showcase house. If you want to see another fabulous house, visit SAE at Kentucky.

That could be the case, but the article indicated "The new house will be 41,000 square feet, nearly twice the size of the old one." The article doesn't address the old annex at all, which will remain and is not part of the new construction project.

Wow. If that's the case Beta will have one house at 41K plus an annex at probably (?) 10K. That should set a mark that may never be surpassed. I've seen a lot of house plans and I'll stick to my guess that the two houses together equal 41K. However, hats-off to Beta. Records are made to be broken.
Re SAE at UK, they had a hazing incident this spring and the members have been moved out of the house because of a fire-related violation. It was bad, but I doubt that SAE will be out of their house for long.

UK’s Sigma Alpha Epsilon chapter was suspended March 2010 and is scheduled to return from suspension Fall 2012. My understanding is that their house is not now, nor will be, used by any other GLO (or other group) during SAE’s suspension.

I know that our Mizzou chapter house will be the largest Tri Sigma house in the country when it's completed!

FYI - elevators are required in a lot of building codes these days. And most GLOs don't allow regular use of them - just during move in, move out, recruitment set moving, etc.
The new DG house at Alabama will be 34,400 SF and will house 60. I believe the new Tri Delta house there will be 40,000 SF.

FWIW, even though posters in this thread were saying that the Alpha Phi house at Oklahoma was the biggest, they say on their site that they're the 2nd biggest (3rd paragraph). They don't say who the biggest one is.

Didn't some Beta Theta Pi alum give millions to his PSU chapter for a huge, luxurious house?
