Feh. With only one partner, you know how *bad* it was when you started, and how much better it's gotten since then. And as long as you are happy, and have sex often enough for you that's good enough for you, that's pretty much enough.
I never have to whine or worry that my husband isn't as good as my first couple of boyfriends. I don't have anything to compare it with. That's fine with me.
We're probably average. Which is nice, because I don't feel like I need to perform like a slut to keep him around-- he's already mine, and if I want to perform like a slut (or he like a stud) that's just a bonus, not something that you need to live up to every time.
Real Sex is a great documentary, btw-- Thursdays on HBO. Which I'll be able to watch again when my father-in-law moves out of the house. [He's not a prude-- he used to *tape* it-- but I just don't want to be in the same room with him when anything sexual is on.] As long as you don't mind seeing "average" naked people going at it as well as the hot young things going at it....
