I second that... of all the ESPN shows that I have to watch PTI is one of the best.

PTI grew on me and now I enjoy watching it. I just like seeing these two columists screem at each other while many topics are being touched on in a short time.

Check it. Last night I was at happy hour with my buddies at this restaurant in DC that we go to all the time. We were sitting outside on the patio and Tony Kornheiser walked by. The guys at the table behind us apparently knew him because they were like "Tony!" and he came over and talked to them for a few minutes while we all stared at him. He went inside and ate dinner with I think his family. He looks a lot older in real life than he does on TV.

I love Stephen A. He has me CTFU, especially when he's fighting Skipper Bayless. I do miss Ralph Wiley (RIP).

See, I like Skip Bayless (though the clones hate him apparently). This is a good duo though of Smith and Bayless, it's just Stephen A. rubs me the wrong way.

Maybe it's the Philly attitude......lol

When Jackie McMullen had her 15 seconds on ATH, she paid a nice tribute to Mr. Wiley. He was a very classy gentleman, and was able to criticize without getting under people's skin....unlike Stephen A. lol

We always watch this and around the horn (I think that's what it's called) at the bar up at school. Although it's usually on a monday so it's fairly quiet.

I also like Skipper when he fills in for Romey. And I can see where Stephen A. is irritiating. Jason Whitlock, once in a while, can be irritating, except when he blasts Kobester.
Ralph Wiley's writing was great, particularly when he did the uncensored thought balloons. I don't know if ESPN's site still has those in their archives as a tribute.

McMullen is a solid sportswriter...I wish she wrote in the Globe more.

I actually like Stephen A...he knows what he's talking about, and he's pretty entertaining when he talks about it.

Wiley was an excellent writer, as I've said in another thread on him - he was able to say things against the grain, a direct contrast to some reporters (Jim Gray, Ahmad Rashad, etc.) who let their hero worship get in the way of the story.

Stephen A. Smith, in a RARE moment of genius, brilliantly ripped the Chargers today on PTI.

I LOVE that show. My boyfriend watch it every opportunity we get & we even tend to argue our own points when it's commercial time.

We also love Around The Horn. Woody Paige is probably my fave but he gets muted a lot. Oh Well. I still love that show.

What's everyone's main issue with Stephen A.? He's actually one of my favorite analysts on ESPN.
