Actually EVERYTHING started over 50's song "How To Rob" with a lot of hip-hop folks taking stuff the wrong way.
But for more in depth information on the actually robberies and the multiple hits that were put out you'll need to parlay with someone from Queens. Mixtapes also fill in the story a lil but there are so many with ja and 50 going back and forth at each other.
Most news outlets don't have the full back story, they just report the entertainment related portions, namely the club jump off. They don't tell you about the rest of the beef stemming from crews getting touched on either side and I don't remember everything that was broken down to me by someone from round that way.
