MacDowell Colony

Hi, Ladies!

I just got back from my vaca in NH, and I made a little visit to the MacDowell Colony in Peterborough. Let's just say I'm so proud that we support such an amazing organization. I got to see a lot of the grounds and talk to the director for about an hour. He told me the whole history of the entire colony and what Alpha Chi Omega has done to help. He sent me home with photocopies of Star Studio, the one Alpha Chi supports, from the history book, and is going to email me a list of notable writers who have benefited from our support of Star Studio. I just wanted to let you know that it is an amazing organization and I'm so proud to be an Alpha Chi Omega, especially when we do such amazing things

One of my professors (actually, the department chair) has stayed at the MacDowell Colony. He's rather proud of it--he lists it in his CV. I should ask him about it someday.
