He's a good kid since he's willing to so readily accept responsibility for his actions. Honestly, I hope he gets off and I think he will. If my car had been stolen under similar circumstances, I probably wouldn't press charges if he just reimbursed me for the gas. (I've had my car stolen before, so I know how much that sucks).
What struck me is how rare it is in America for someone to take full responsibility for their actions like that.
