We're boring. Our new member manual is called "New Member Manual."
I actually have one of the last batch of manuals that used the term "pledge" instead of "new member". It says "Pledge Manual" on the spine, starts off with "Congratulations on becoming an Alpha Epsilon Phi pledge", etc. AEPhi had just switched over to the current new member program, including the term 'new member'. Our TEC (traveling education consultant) kept saying over and over again, "I know your books say 'pledge' but really you're
new members..."
