Brief Background
UMass Dartmouth, what we like to call the other UMD, is a state school with a population of 7500 undergrads. 90 percent are in-state. We have a small greek system but it is growing. My freshman year in 2001 year there were 2 fraternities and 2 sororities. Now there are 5 fraternities and 3 sororities. On average fraternities have about 20 members. Sororities on average have about 40. I would love for Greek Life to grow even more, but like they say Rome wasnt built in a day.
