RECRUITMENT!!! AAAAAH!!

hey girls-

I need ideas from all of you super-creative squirrels. We're in the middle of planning recruitment right now, and we need some ideas for themes, skits, etc.

By now you're thinking, why doesn't she just meet with her recruitment committee? Well, I would...if we had a recruitment committee. The "committee" consists of myself and the VP Recruitment. No one else wants to help, so we have to do everything ourselves. We have ideas for each day, but getting all the details down requires more than just two people, you know?

We really need to do well this fall. We lost almost half our chapter to graduation and just plain quitting. I don't know if I'm allowed to post what each theme is going to be because I don't know how confidential we have to be. I mean, I can talk about them with you guys, but I think a public forum would be out, you know?

Please PM me and help a sista out!

LIEP,
Holly

Hi Holly, I'm the VPR for my chapter, and we were havign a very difficult time figuring out themes too, but we got it now. Try a beach theme, it's pretty easy to do, were going to get a play pool and tond of beach balls. Also maybe try like a Sex and the City theme, tha is very popular on our campus, you can wear like blakc pants and cute trendy tops and funky shoes. Hmmm, e mail me if you need any more ideas, I'm one of those crazy I love recruitment girls. Good luck!!!

Another great resource is your Recruitment Consultant for your chapter. If you're uncertain who that sister is, please PM me and I'll let you know!

Andrea, last year we did an "AGD on Vaction" theme for the whole recruitment week. If you're still having trouble with your party planning, I still have all the details.

Thumbs up Sigma- Open house at recruitment

Sigma's open House theme is "Alpha Gams & Co."
We wrap up huge boxes and decorate the house like Tiffany & Co.
We wear tiffany blue shirts and black capris. The shirts say on the front "Alpha Gams & Co." and on the back it says "If found return to 1106 S. Lincoln[our address]".
PNMs really seem to go for it - it is a great conversation starter!

For some reason recruitment with a Theme hasn't caught on up here... so I don't think i could help... though I have thought that it would be different if a chapter could show the purpose all through out the week... it is just a thought.

As for skits, Theta Upsilon did "Camp Alpha Gamma" and it was really cute. You know the song from "Salute your shorts"... it was the theme song.

Anyway, good luck!

Zeta Theta used that song in a skit a few years ago, too! The skit theme was tv theme songs, and in addition to Salute Your Shorts, they did the themes to Gilligan's Island, Fresh Prince, Hey Dude, Cheers, and I think a few more. It was super cute, very fun and upbeat, and was a big hit. (All of the Rho Chi's even wanted to come and see the skit!) Plus, theme songs tend to be good for skits because it doesn't matter if everyone can sing since they're so simple.
