I wouldnt want them to get in trouble if they arent acting as per nationals so i dont really wanna go into details. but i guess if someone could please explain the differences between a social and service soroity i would really appricate it.

Thanks Again!
Alrighty...

My first question to you would be this: What is YOUR definition of a "Social" as well as "Service" GLO?

Yes, Gamma Sig is, by name, a SERVICE sorority. This means that service is REQUIRED by membership. You must complete a certain amount of hours to be an active member, as well as during our new member period. Also, many of the sorority's programs have a service focus (March of Dimes, Red Cross, MADD, etc.).

Now that doesn't mean we can't be "social". We have parties, events, sisterhood events (retreats and such) and we do things with other greeks if invited. I guess I would have to know the "details" that you say you don't want to get into. You can PM me if you'd like. I see in your profile that you go to LaSalle, so I already know what chapter you're talking about.
