At my school, big/lil sis/bro's who are in other house are just that. Someone who you look up to, or someone who looks out for you. We don't have "lil sis groups" or anything like that. I have lil B's in 3 different houses because I look out for these guys like my own little brothers, and we are close as well. I know many people who do this, more to show a closeness and friendship than pick an association with a paticular house. Most people I know who have bigs and lils also have them from a range of houses. I also happen to know that for one of my lil b's, I am not his only big sis. This just means he happens to be close to people in two houses. Hope this isn't too confusing.

This does not in any way allow you to wear their letters, as I hope you'd have a respect for their house rather than just wanting a sweatshirt.

The "programs" used to be huge on my campus, I will say that, with fraternity composites containing a whole row of lil sis's. Now, it has passed onto a much more informal thing.
