Isn't University of Illinois the school with the largest Greek system in the country? Indiana has a really strong Greek system too. Last time I checked those schools were above the Mason-Dixon line.

By whom? I grew up in the Midwest and went to school in Pennsylvania and New England, and I've never lived anywhere that the local residents thought of as "the North" or a "northern state." (Heck, even in Maine, they consider themselves to be "down East.") The only time I've ever thought of someplace as "northern" is during a conversation with or about Southerners.

I think they're northern...I think Kentucky, Missouri, and maybe Southern Illinois are the border.

DPhiE is non-sectarian. I have a few ideas about what school this is, but I really don't care enough to research it. I like that she refers to her school as BSU.

Anyway I think that a great number of NPCs founded in the North. She might want to remember NPC history before she condemns the North.

True, but Cornell, Penn State, and Syracuse are Northern and are among the strongest greek systems around.
