I think you should take AXiD670's suggestion one step further, and somehow get your ex blamed for the insurance fraud.

(Again, like the previous poster, this is just a joke. I'm not condoning insurance fraud or having one's former spouse arrested, tempting though it may be.)

Is there anyway you can make your ex buy them from you at a higher value than you'd get from reselling them to a jewelry store? Get him to give you the cash, and let him bear the burden of trying to sell them. And if you do sell them, is it considered a marital asset for which you have to give your ex half of the proceeds?

Whatever you do, I hope you pamper yourself with the proceeds - you deserve it!
