Yep, I have the extra ticket and am waiting to be sure it's a go so that I can book. I'll keep you updated. We could do a road trip though. In my car, I'd estimate $220 in gas round trip. I'll call you soon -- on a night we are both sober.

hey, if you guys want to roadtrip it, check this out.
I'm coming down to Texas to visit my Dallas buddies on the weekend of July 17th. I think we're gonna make a river trip.
Well, if you guys want to roadtrip it, i'll stay in Dallas until like thursday or friday and when you guys drive up to DFW we can meet up and caravan the rest of the way to Omaha.
Huh? huh? Drunken caravan roadtrip? Stopping at stupid pointless roadside attractions in Oklahoma and Kansas? Taking Texas GCer pictures at the state signs when we enter new states?
Man, that sounds HELLA fun.

lifesaver,
now that you're back from your little cruise, are you still in on this trip?
It's like 2 weeks away buddy, and we need the confirmation. I actually have to be in Vermillion for work study on the 23rd, so if you guys want to leave a little early y'all can crash at the frat house with me and i can show y'all the bar scene at USD. You can check out all the South Dakota hotties.
Then we can drive down to meet Hootie in Omaha on the 24th. Pat doesn't go on till about 5 i believe. Tickets are 15 or 20.
you'd better not back out buddy!

The drunk ass called me last night (from the Pat Green concert in Austin, with Cory Morrow as special/unannounced guest -- I'm so jealous!) saying he was down, so it looks like it's a go. We'll be in touch.

god.
there are times that i hate him so much.
like when he calls me from Gruene where he's seeing Reckless Kelly.
i just want to kick him in the nuts. But i think he'd enjoy that too much.

So this may be the BEST thread I have ever found on GC. Texas is the best place in the world.
And speaking of music, CCR and Roger Creager are playing here in Austin on the 18th! I'm so excited!

I am still down. Spoke with Adri about it on Tuesday.
Kitso, found a bar you would enjoy in Helotes. Its across the street and down the block from Floore's towards El Chapparal. Its great. It hasnt changed in the 40 years its been there, the jukebox has old patsy cline, geroge strait, old REK, and willie on it. The beers are $2, the bar has a dog named Ellie Mae, and they keep a loaded shotgun next to the cash register. They sell beer to go and you can drink out front on the picnic tables. Its Great! We were there the other night and the barlady is the mom of a buddy. We drank all night and I think I paid $15 for both me and heather. Most of that was tip. Love getting comped drinks. Jenna wasnt touching her beer, so the barlady asked if she wanted wine. She said yes and she was promptly served red wine out of a gallon jug, in a styrofoam cup, over ice.
Class indeed.
I'll be back there this weekend.
