Post Event planning

We have always had problems with getting good member attendance at some of our events. Does anyone have any good ways to get participation up? It would be nice to see some of our 'sometimes' members more than just at social events.

Cool

The problem w/ fines is that no one wants to pay them no matter what. If you want to get the guys who just show up to socials to come out to events such as rush, community service and fundraising you should choose activities that would be like socials. GET WOMEN INVOLVED!!! You don't have to use just sororities but also sports teams and other clubs on campus. Not only will this surely contribute to your assets on campus but your members will enjoy it as well.

There's another way to look at it. If you increase your membership, then not everyone has to do everything. You can win lots of different things because you can spread your manpower around, and the guys who want to play sports don't have to be the same guys who build a float with the Tri-Delts.

Great idea! Yours is the best advice. Guys join for sports and women. The friendships and brotherhood develop over time. Good idea about women athletes too. Vollyball has a lot of good looking girls.

I've been trying to get my chapter to do something with the women athletes for a while now! Phi Mu here at West Ga. does a "Phi Mu & the Braves" social with the football and baseball teams (Braves is our mascot). I proposed that we do a Pike and the LAdy Braves party with the volleyball, softball and tennis teams, but I can't get anyone else to see what a good move it would be. They're all afraid that nothing but big butch girls would show up!!
