Hey, I agree with Munchkin about the cost of living, yeah, NYC is expensive but if you budget and plan ahead you'll be fine. The major differences I notice outside of rent are the cost of night life and entertainment. Yeah, if you hang out in lounges and clubs you will spend a lot of cash but I still can go out in my neighborhood with $20.00 and have a really good nite. I am also one of those people who prefers to eat out over cooking so that is where most of my $$$ goes.

Luckily, part of my agreement with the Seminary is that I won't be using tobacco products, drugs or alcohol. So, I don't have to worry about drinks! I cook a LOT more than I dine out. I'm also freaking out over the costs of rent! WOW! I'm living in a good sized two bedroom/two bath apartment with dishwasher and W/D connections for $595/month. I'd like to find a dog-friendly very small studio apartment in or around Nyack for no more than $800/month. I can't, for the life of me, find a dog friendly apartment that's reasonably priced!!!!!
