Admittedly, I haven't stayed at the
Super 8 Manhattan/Times Square Area since it became a Super 8 (it used to be the Quality Hotel and Suites) but it's in a good location (a half block from the 47-50th St/Rockefeller Center subway stop, from which you can also get into Rockefeller Center, walking distance to Times Square and theaters, and there's a 24-hour deli and 24-hour McDonalds around the corner) and the rates aren't bad. I have been able to get some great deals there...last time I stayed there I paid under $100/night for a room.
