Hi RaHel...

I encourage other Sorors to jump in. There is not a "list of dos and don'ts" regarding Zeta, and our history books about Zeta are for Sorors only. However, there is a wealth of information about Zeta on the Internet, and Sorors are always willing to sit down with you and discuss questions about the Sisterhood you may have.

Clearly, the easiest way (and best)to prepare yourself for possible membership is to ensure that you are exploiting the four Principles of the Sorority. Ensure that you have exemplary scholarship: don't just meet the minimum GPA: beat it! Zetas are traditionally known to be scholars and believe in the life-long pursuit of learning.

Service: Zeta was not founded to be merely a "social club": service is a cornerstone of our existence. If you can't prove you have a geniune passion to help others, Zeta is probably not your ideal organization.

Sisterly Love: This means more than just "sisterhood" to me. I may not always like every Soror I meet, but my oath dictates I must always love them--therefore, I am always willing to assist a Soror...simply because we are Zetas. Always present yourself in a manner that will prove to Sorors that when Zeta calls, (you'll) answer one and all.

Finer Womanhood: Achieving the Perfection of Finer Womanhood is not a finite process, but continuous. Zeta doesn't look for cookie cutter women: we value our diversity. Finer Womanhood is more than how you wear your hair, and knowing when to use your salad fork, although that can be a part of it. It's more the understanding and appreciation and self-respect for yourself and your fellow-man that comes from being a woman--it is a state of mind and a desire to be a Finer Woman that fills the very essence of your being.

I could go on, but have gone on long enough. Hope this helps you. Feel free to ask additional questions.

Best,
Shelacious
